Tomorrow is Halloween and Battle Creek is a great community to enjoy the holiday in. The kids have plenty of great neighborhoods to go trick or treating, and the community overall embraces the evening making it fun for kids. The Piper Park neighborhood for example traditionally has neighbors setting up free hot apple cider and hot dogs on the street. Other neighborhood groups do similar types of events.
Downtown Battle Creek offers a Trick or treat event during the day. It is a great event to discover what businesses call downtown Battle Creek home, as well as make new friends. Participating businesses will hand out a treat alongside information on services and products. There will also be interactive game stations along the way that will provide additional entertainment and prizes. For more information, visit the downtown partnership site here.
The Cricket Club downtown is also holding a costume contest on Friday and Saturday night, which will be a lot of fun for adults. For more information, click here.
The Binder Park Zoo also hosts the annual Zoo Boo, which is worth attending. For more information, visit the Binder Park Zoo website here.
Another event for kids is held at the library until 6:30 today called ‘Bats in the Library’ presented by the Organization for Bat Conservation held in the Miller Stone building. For more information, visit here.
Overall there are a lot of fun things to do in Battle Creek, and of course there is always the candy! For more information on Halloween safety, visit my other blog on this topic here.
